My diving career here has been climbing in terms of paper works but it's going down in terms of the number of dives... But I did some really great trips and you can just take a read..
It's just close by, on the Queensland-NSW border. Me and Gialisa considered it as the coolest place around because once we saw 6 (six !!) turtles on one dive !! That was the first place I saw sea cowry (Peter showed me) and a huge Spanish Dancer.. When I went there with Chris Atikan, I also see sting ray. He didn't see any because I kind of lost him somehow and he went up right away (I stayed down of course..) He swore never to go diving with me again (He lost me again on the second dive by the way.. hi..hi..) Here is the picture of the island.
I got on a live aboard for 3 days 2 nights with Andy and he insisted to go back after the first night due to boredom and sea sickness. Hey, it's not like I didn't warned him before... On the other side, I had a great time. Saw lots of sharks, turtles, giant grouper, huge sting ray and great corals.

I went with Bond Uni Scuba Club, some 16 of us from school and the rest are Aquanuts people. It was fun, the dives were great and I love Byron Bay (I think I've told you this thousands of times). This picture below was taken in the Lighthouse, at the most easterly point of Australia (as you can read on the thing). Left to right: Frode, Andrew, me, Les, Marek, Bente and Joakim. The rest were too lazy to climb up..
In search of Manta Ray but knowing my luck, of course, we didn't find any. Went with Marek and May for 3 days and had a great time. Saw quite a lot of turtles and one white tip shark (while we were snorkelling !!). Didn't bring my camera along so, sorry.. no pictures from here !!
