Bond University

I've been here since January 1998, so what else could I say.. It's a nice campus, not that big and actually it's quite small that everybody knows what everybody else is doing. For more details on what have been happening so far in my life here, check out the links on the left.

Brasserie

I can't say much about this place.. first time visitor would think that the food is nice but ask those people who's been living out of the junks they have.. urgh.. no comment. We - residence students - get 14 tickets a week and can choose between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Obviously breakfast is the one I skip.

Tea House

A better place to hang out than the brasserie. They have sandwiches, drinks, coffee and all and last semester I used to hang out there a lot, thanks to the other maniac T-Houser : Alisha, Marek and Sven. We still sit there once in a while this semester but it's not as fun since the weather is really cold and the wind would blow almost everthing lays on the table..

The Chase

They have more than sandwich here and most people buy their food here and sit around the tea house. The burger is OK and sometimes they have pizza day as well.

Library

Not that many people know where it is, he..he.. I used to spend half of my life there as a business student but now I hardly step one foot in. Now you could even browse the library catalogue online. It's a great place to cool off yourself during summer, they have aircon running all day.

Batlab

Where most people here check their mails and do assignments. I lived there last semester because my computer broke down for no particular reason (it just does on regular basis) and trust me, batlab could really get into you...

Multimedia Lab

Here is where I live nowadays because I don't have all that cool softwares in my computer. For multimedia subject we use Retro AS-1 to create sound, Sound Forge and Faundry Acid to mix and create the sound effect, Lightwave to do the animation bit, Adobe after effects and premier to do the, of course, animation special effect, and Adobe photoshop for all use. The lab is cool, the computer screen is 17 inch and it's a lot faster than in my room. We are also provided with a shared scanner and 2 GB account for each student (it's week 6 already, still the account doesn't work..) Click here for a sample of my half-finish music..

Gold Coast (where Bond is..)

I got around town driving my legendary car. You would ask yourself (or me), why is this car so legendary.. it's quite a long story so first please take a look at him.

Car (83741 bytes)

Haven't named him yet but I will soon. He's cute, eh ? Now the story. When I first bought him from a friend, he was fine. After a while, the door started to be a bit of a problem. I couldn't open it from the inside. Then the window is kind of stucked if you open it too low and you have to press the window button while pull the window up at the same time. One time, Alisha was driving it but she didn't have that much strenght to pull the window up with one hand. So what she did was she pressed the button with her foot and dragged the window up with both hands.. Some acrobatic skills are needed sometimes.. Then (I'm not finished yet !) the right blinker doesn't work and one of the headlight is broken. But the best feature is : THE SWITCH. The fan that suppose to cool off the radiator doesn't work automatically so the mechanic put a switch there. Everytime I starts the engine, I have to pull up the engine compartment lid, switch the fan on and I'll be fine. When I stop the car and park, pull it up, turn it off, and done. Is that cool or what !! (Vibeke couldn't stop laughing when she saw that the first time..)

Pacific Fair

This is where I usually go if I don't have class or if I feel like skipping class. Also when I need to cut my hair, go to a movie, find a gift, do a "little" shopping, visit the Aquanuts people, and try to find some cute guys.

Robina Town Centre

Another shopping arena for us girls but not as fun as Pac Fair. We only go there if we have a limited time since it's closer.

Quix

This is a very important place to us for late nite snacking. It's a 24 hour petrol shop and usually if we don't get enough from Brasserie food, we run there for a Guerila Dog. It's also the place where I usually get my kinder egg. In short, what do we do without it..

Broadbeach

Favourite place to go for coffee or dinner. They have a huge range of restaurants and cafes and you can find almost everything there, from Indian food to Mediterranean gourmet. Kokoz - one of the nite club - is located here. Fun place.

Surfers Paradise

This is the place where we usually go out to (for more details read the Pub Crawl and Parties section). Some of our favourite places are Shooters, Penthouse, Melbas and we just visit the others occasionally. It has a wide range of restaurants as well and of course, the beach. Swarmed by Japanese tourists.
